Pearl River soccer standouts shine in MACJC All-Star games

RIDGELAND, Miss. — Pearl River's seven soccer all-stars showed out in Saturday's 2019 MACJC All-Star Games, which were hosted by Holmes.

The South Division won both contests, with the women netting a 5-3 victory while the men pulled off a 3-1 win.

 

PRCC WOMEN

Pearl River's Zigi Ahortor (Accra, Ghana) was one of the MVPs in the women's match after netting the first goal of the game. Victoria Stewart (Pearl River, La.) assisted on the South's third goal that put the team up 3-1 going into halftime.

Maddie Beets (Long Beach) opened the second half scoring when she struck true from the penalty spot. Beets later assisted in the South's fifth goal.

K.K. Snyder (Leakesville; Greene County) was the fourth participant for the MACJC's South Division champion Wildcats.

 

PRCC MEN

The Wildcat men were represented by Kealan Baggett (Ocean Springs), Cooper Grafe (Kiln; Hancock) and August Harp (Jackson; Murrah).

Harp, who played all over the field for the two-time reigning MACJC South Division champion Wildcats, assisted in the South's insurance goal.

 

AWARD SEASON
