JC's Critchell, Mondrragon shine in MACJC All-Star Soccer Games

RIDGELAND – Jones College's Lucy Critchell (London, England) and Adrian Mondragon (Norrthwest Rankin) helped the South sweep the North in the 2019 MACJC All-Star Soccer Games herer Saturday afternoon at Holmes Community College.

Critchell scored two goals as the South women won, 5-3. 

Mondragon was named the South's Most Valuable Player as the South won the men's match, 3-1.

Other Jones players for the South women who played were Madison LaFontaine (Pass Christian), Olivia Simpson (George County) and Alexis Wilson (Long Beach).

Other JC players participating for the South men were Callum Harley (Whitney Bay, England), Cris Rodrigo (Northwest Rankin) and Peyton Ratcliff (Northwest Rankin).

Most Valuable Player for the North women was Holmes' Zoe Ellis. Pearl River's Yayira Zigi was named South Most Valuable Player.

In the men's game, Most Valuable Player for the North was East Central Community College's Joel Hill while Jones College's Adrian Mondragon was named Most Valuable Player for the South. 

MACJC Commissioner Steve Martin presented all MVP trophies.
