The 2019 season did not begin the way the Lady Bears would have liked as they dropped a 7-1 decision to the visiting Holmes Lady Bulldogs Thursday afternoon.

The Lady Bears trailed 4-0 in the second half when Layla Wilson took a pass from Driade Moreira and headed the ball into the goal from within the six at the 56:41 mark.

Holmes would go on to add three more goals.

The Lady Bears will be back in action Sunday afternoon when they host the Itawamba Lady Indians. Game time is set for 1:00.
