FULTON – The Jones College soccer teams recorded a pair of victories here Wednesday afternoon.
The No. 13 Lady Bobcats posted their fifth shutout of the season with a 3-0 win over Itawamba Community College. Jones is now 6-0 on the year.
In the men's game, Jones scored two goals in the final 25 minutes to defeat the Indians, 2-1. The Bobcats are 5-1.
The Lady Bobcats will face a major challenge on Saturday when they travel to face No. 2 Tyler Junior College (Texas) in a 7 p.m. match.
Both Jones teams return to South Division play on Tuesday when they visit Southwest Mississippi.

Through six games, Jones has outscored its opponents, 26-1.
Jones scored at 23:57 when Rachel Barnaby (Derry, Ireland) scored with Anna Grace Gieger (West Jones) getting the assist. Aimee Durn's (London, England) goal via a Mikayla Banks (Vicksburg) assist at 41:51 gave the Lady Bobcats a 2-0 lead going into halftime.
The final goal came at 55:32 when Barnaby on a rebound off a corner kick with Mary Ann O'Kennedy (Sligo, Ireland) getting the assist.
Skyler Steede (George County) was in goal for the first half and Alexis Wilson (Long Beach) was in goal for the second half for Jones.
The Lady Indians are 5-2-1 and go to Columbia State (Tennessee) on Friday.
