The Lady Bears gave it all they had Tuesday night, but came out on the short end of a 2-0 MACJC South Division decision to the host Mississippi Gulf Coast Lady Bulldogs in Gulfport.
The teams played scoreless ball until the 56:55 mark Jessica Shepherd put the Lady Bulldogs (5-5-2, 4-4 South) on top 1-0. The final goal came at 88:05.
"This was a hard-fought Division game," said Lady Bears head coach Bee Casey. "We hope to learn from the mistakes we made and bring a better Lady Bears team to the field on Saturday when we play Pearl River."
The Lady Bears (4-8, 1-5) host Pearl River at home beginning at 1:00.
