Indians stumble in pair of division loses

The injury-plagued Indians (6-5-1, 3-2-1 MACJC North) dropped a pair of North Division matches to Hinds and East Central on the week.

ICC dropped a 4-1 decision at Hinds after the Eagles were able to jump out to a quick 3-0 lead in the first half. The Indians' lone goal came in the 80th minute when sophomore midfielder Logan Little (Tupelo) scored on a penalty kick.

The Indians saw East Central score in the 83rd minute to sneak out of Fulton with a 2-1 victory. Freshman midfielder Alexis Resendiz (Horn Lake) found the equalizer off an assist from Luan Balestieri (Rio Grande, Brazil) early in the second half but the Indians couldn't rally in the final seven minutes to force the match into overtime.

ICC will travel to Northwest Mississippi Community College on Friday for a pair of key division matches. The Lady Indians will start things off at 1:00 while the Indians will follow at 3:00 in Senatobia.
