ICC women’s soccer falls at Jones, wins at Southwest Tennessee

ELLISVILLE, Miss. – The Itawamba Community College women's soccer team dropped a 7-1 non-division match against the defending MACJC and NJCAA Region 23 Champion Lady Bobcats of Jones County Junior College on Wednesday.
The Lady Indians' lone goal came on a free kick by Deanna Christie (Liverpool, England).
ICC rebounded for a 4-0 win at Southwest Tennessee Community College on Saturday.
Christie gave the Lady Indians a 1-0 halftime lead off an assist from Malarie Scott (Saltillo). Francisca Galleguillos-Pollarolo (Santiago Nunoa, Chile) found Farris Bradley (Pontotoc) to push the lead out to 2-0 in the 58th minute. Allie Barnett (Iuka) scored on an assist from Hannah Covington (Saltillo) before finding Gracie Fowlie (Edinburgh, Scotland) to help give the Lady Indians the 4-0 win.
Merrie Kate Grayson (Tupelo) and Haley McGill (Saltillo) each spent 45 minutes in net during the match and came away with three saves each while combining for the shutout.
