SUMMIT – No. 19 Jones County Junior College found itself down 1-0 just two minutes into its game vs. Southwest here Tuesday afternoon at Bear Soccer Field.
But the deficit did not last long.
JCJC scored the game's next seven goals en route to a 7-1 decision over the Lady Bears.
Jones is now 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the MACJC South Division.
The JCJC teams return home Friday for another division match against Meridian. The women's game begins at 5 p.m., followed by the men's game at 7 p.m.

Southwest took the lead at 1:57 when Auset Gibbs score on a header off a corner kick by Allin Franzante.
But it was all JCJC after that.
The Lady Bobcats tied it at 13:14 when Parker Welch (Brandon) scored on a header off a corner kick by Aimee Durn. JCJC made it 2-1 at 21:05 when Judith Verdaguer (Barcelona, Spain) scored the first of her three goals off an assist by Anna Kate Howard (South Jones). Mikayla Banks (Vicksburg) then scored off a Howard assist to give JCJC a 3-1 lead at 38:12.
The Lady Bobcats continued to roll in the second half.
Banks scored at 53:45 off an assist by Anna Brice Taylor (Sacred Heart) to make it 4-1. JCJC went up 5-1 on a Verdageur goal off an assist by Taylor. Verdaguer's goal at 72:40 off an assist by Mary Margaret Parker (Sacred Heart) gave JCJC a 6-1 advantage. The final goal came at 73:42 as Banks got the 'hat trick' off an assist by Zakiah Almatrood (Biloxi).
Mia Holmes (Brandon) played the first half in goal for JCJC and Caroline Runion (Madison Central) played the second half.
Southwest falls to 2-2 overall, 0-1 in the division.
