MDCC women's basketball sees 2021 season come to an end 

 

MOORHEAD – The Mississippi Delta Community College women's basketball team had their 2021 season come to an end on Wednesday night in Ellisville, falling to the No.1 ranked Jones College Bobcats, 86-55. 

 

Jones will now advance in the Region XXIII tournament, while the Trojans will put a bow on the 2021 campaign. 

 

Antanisha Wade (Cleveland) led all MDCC scorers with 14 points against the Bobcats. She also added three rebounds to her total. 

 

An'Teresa Dickson (Memphis, Tenn.) had 12 points to trail Wade, but lead the team in rebounds (nine) and steals (three), and tied for the team lead assists (three) and blocks (one). 

 

Delta started the season on a tough note by losing their first seven games, but finished with a fury by winning five of their last nine contests to end the season with a 5-11 mark.
