POPLARVILLE – Pearl River Community College got back to the business of winning in the South Division Tuesday night with a 4-2 road victory over Meridian.
PRCC snapped a three-game losing skid with the victory, and improved to 7-4 overall and 4-1 in division. Meridian dropped to 0-9-1 and 0-4-1.
Redshirt sophomore Parker Rose (Bay St. Louis) scored two goals and had an assist to lead the Wildcats.
Freshman Jevuan Ennis (Maypen, Jamaica) scored his team-leading sixth goal of the season, while sophomore West Zimmerman (Diamondhead) got his first goal of the season.
Freshmen Joe Elliot (Leicester, England) and Bo Bowman (Bay St. Louis) had assists for Pearl River. Ennis also had the only goal for PRCC in a 3-1 loss to Georgia Military Saturday at Perkinston, with Rose getting the assist.
The Wildcats will be back home on Friday to take on division-leading Mississippi Gulf Coast. Kickoff is scheduled for approximately 7 p.m., and the game will be livestreamed on prccmedia.com and on youtube.com/pearlrivercollege.
