The Bears ran their record to 7-2-2 Friday afternoon with a 3-1 decision in Ridgeland over the Holmes Bulldogs.
The Bears took a 1-0 lead at 19:52 when Ty Ware took a through ball from Michael Escobar and scored after going one-on-one with the Holmes keeper.
Escobar put the Bears up 2-0, at 71:07, after scoring from inside the 18 on a ball played across the face on the goal by Santiago Martinez.
The Bears (7-2-2) increased their lead to 3-0 at 73:57 after Nate Bond played a ball behind the Holmes back line and passed the ball to PJ Irwin who then scored on a one-time volley.
Holmes (2-6) avoided the shutout with a goal at the 82:29 mark.
The Bears take a few days off before returning to action on October 6 with a crucial MACJC South Division contest in Ellisville against the Jones County Bobcats. The game is set to get underway at 7:00.
