PERKINSTON — A Mississippi Gulf Coast cold snap cost it Thursday night, and Jones County surged to a 67-59 victory at the Weathers/Wentzell Center.
LaRaymond Spivery (Fr, Lucedale/George County) had 16 points to lead the Bulldogs, and Dedoch Chan (Fr, Rochester, Minn./John Marshall) had 10.

The Bulldogs switched to a 1-2-2 zone defense midway through the first half to spark a 12-2 that saw them overcome an early double-digit deficit and tie the game at 22.
They eventually took a 34-31 lead to the locker room at halftime.
Jones scored the first six points of the second half, but Gulf Coast rallied to take a 47-46 lead with 8:54 to play.
The Bobcats erupted on a 13-2 run over the next 2:50 to take a lead they would never relinquish.
Gulf Coast returns to action Thursday night at Pearl River. Tipoff in Poplarville is scheduled for 7:30. The Bulldogs return to action in Perkinston on Jan. 29 when Southwest visits.
